My experience in the Mass Communication department has been a great and highly educational one so far. When you first look at journalism, or any other discipline in the news business it can at first appear daunting . From the outside looking in it is something you are not sure you can really do.
My experience learning journalism has completely changed the way I think about it. When you are able to learn from people who have actually been in the business, it makes everything seem much more attainable. When you actually try your hand at these skills, you are able to see clearly a path that can lead you to your goal of writing for the news.
If you have dreams of being in the news business the best thing you can do is try, and listen to feedback from those who have been there.
